Warp knitting
Warp knitting is the fastest way to produce fabric from yarn. This differs from weft knitting in that each needle loops around its own thread and extends vertically down onto the fabric. Features of this fabric include:
1. Is less elastic than weft knitting
2. Is more durable than weft knitting
3. Is denser than weft knitting
4. The type and weight of the yarn determines the type of fabric produced
5. It feels warm
6. Free
7. Usually soft
8. Good drape
9. Easy to sew
Knitting machine
Knitted fabrics are made on two types of machines: circular knitting machines and flat knitting machines. Big circle machine is the manufacturer's first choice. Due to its productivity and user friendliness, it is widely used throughout the industry to produce fabrics and has a much greater output capacity than flat panels. The needle of this machine is round. In this case, the yarn goes directly into the bed of needles, which rotates in one direction and forms a tube of fabric through the center. Due to the gentle nature of the knitting process, circular knitting machines are capable of producing very fine structures. The diameter of the machine will vary depending on the type of fabric being manufactured, but it will have a limited range of diameters compared to similar machines. Once a circular knitted fabric has been created, the fabric can be cut along its entire length, becoming the flat fabric we all know.
The simultaneous flat knitting machine is when the knitting needle is in a flat straight line. This produces a fabric that lies flat in its open width. Depending on the end use of the fabric, this also has a wide range of diameters. Normally, this machine produces fabric more slowly than a round machine. However, this machine can produce thicker fabrics and has more patterned design options than a round machine.
